![]() ![]() ![]() I plugged it into the USB port and it registered, and tried to install it, but there were no drivers available (it's allegedly plug and play for everything XP and later). I just bought a cheap external CD drive from Amazon that didn't say it supported 98, but I gave it a try anyways. This is of course impractical as I keep the computer around for one reason: to play Triple Play Baseball 2001, a game which apparently no one has ever been able to get to run outside of Windows 98. The original CD drive gave out long ago, and the external CD drive that I bought probably a decade ago (this computer actually had USB ports, very schnazzy) no longer works, in that I have to physically hold the try firmly in place for the drive to actually spin. Hi all, I have what I believe is a 2000 Compaq Presario desktop that runs Windows 98. ![]()
